The Peeling is a music blog created by a 25-year-old Chicagoan with too many opinions on Grimes and not enough patience for Nick Cave (that’s me).
There was a point in time where I was writing about music for the Chicago Reader, but up until now, the content of this blog had been buried in my notes app. The Peeling aims to introduce and explore more niche topics surrounding modern music listening and their place in the broader culture, often through a personal lens. But, aside from the aim, it’s really just a space to explore and engage others with my dumb? relatable? groundbreaking? ideas.
The Peeling is greatly inspired by Deep Cuts, a YouTube channel “dedicated to music, for lovers of music.”
